English language challenges

The semester is almost over; it hasn’t been easy to deal with a lot of interruptions, especially on Mondays, which might have affected your motivation, you might have sensed a lack of connection with the teacher and your classmates, or you probably haven’t felt confident enough to talk in English in the classroom. I don’t know!, This is your last post  and you can talk about your experience learning English at the University (including all these issues).  Unfortunately, I can’t be with you today since I’m on a sick leave.  I wish you good luck in all your projects and I have to tell you that being your teacher was a pleasure for me. Every time there was a discussion, I enjoyed your opinions  and I felt frustrated sometimes because I knew that  some of you wanted to express more ideas than the ones the foreign language allowed you to convey.  In your last post you have to write about: > What comments can you make about your experience learn...

free themed post 1: My pet(s)

Before I got Lisa, I had sworn I would never have a dog again.  When my last dog died, I really really suffered but my husband convinced me that having a dog would be a good idea because our son was growing up without a pet and he seemed to be affraid of dogs. Lisa has been with us for 8 years. We saw an add in a pet store that they were selling puppy boxers and we tried to choose one but she really chose us.  We wanted a male dog at the beginning but she approached to us and started her tricks (jumping, waving her tail, and followed us when we tried to take another dog). She is very cute, some people think boxers are dangerous but they are really nice especially with children.  My two year daughter plays with Lisa all the time, she pulls her tail, she even rides her as if she were a horse and Lisa has never even attempted to bite her. Eventhough I promised I wouldn't let another dog steal my heart, she did it. Write about the most meaninful pets you've had.  Say...

The best concert I've had

It’s has always been hard for me to decide what’s my best in everything.  I think every experience is unique so what’s the best concert I’ve had?.  I think it was Soda Stereo’s last concert in Chile, It probably came to my mind because when Gustavo Cerati  died I realized the importance of the band in the soundtrack of my life.  I remember how I sang every single song that day in the concert, I also remember I was very excited and sad at the same time; one of my favorite bands was going to say good bye. How to forget how much trouble I got into for going to that concert!;   I was living with my grandparents, they were not very fond of concerts, because they thought I would be dangerous for their lovely granddaughter, so I had to tell a lie. I said I would go to a friend’s party and I would stay in her house.  The problem was that she said the same!  When the concert was over we had nowhere to go! (I was hypothetically in her house and she was ...
